According to MLB.com’s Alden Gonzalez, the Angels and third baseman Alberto Callaspo have reached an agreement on a two-year, $9M contract. The deal buys out Callaspo’s final year of arbitration and his first year of free agency.

In another tweet, Gonzalez tells us that the deal is pending a physical, which will take place tomorrow, when Callaspo will travel from Venezuela.
